There is something rather appealing about mischief.
Not the destructive kind. The glint-in-the-eye kind.
The kind that makes you take the long way home because you feel like it.
Order dessert first.
Put your phone away when everyone else is checking theirs.
Dance in the kitchen.
Wear something slightly ridiculous simply because it makes you smile.
Say the thing that is true but not quite what everyone expected.
Mischief gives us a tiny bit of latitude — a little permission to step outside the prescribed lines and see what happens. It can be playful, harmless, and just disruptive enough to shake us out of our usual patterns.
Perhaps that is why a little mischief can be good for us.
It reminds us that not every moment needs to be sensible.
Not every choice needs to be optimized.
And not every Monday needs to begin with a serious face.
Sometimes the day could use a raised eyebrow, a crooked smile, and the question:
What would happen if I did this instead?
Nothing terrible, perhaps.
Something interesting, quite possibly…
🔎 This Week’s Fresh Lens…
What if moving forward can feel like dancing,
rather than pushing a heavy cart uphill?
💬 Quote of the Day:
A little nonsense now and then, is cherished by the wisest men.
